Coconut is considered to be one of the healthiest fruits known to man and is increasing in popularity because of its many benefits.  Check the shelves of your local grocery store and you will easily find coconut water, milk, oil, etc.  So what is it about coconut that has made it so popular?  According to the Coconut Research Center (2012) the coconut palm is known as “The Tree of Life.” Coconut is believed to provide many health benefits to include, , and supports weight loss.

Coconut oil is not only beneficial for weight loss, due to its ability to increase thyroid activity, but it also helps lower bad cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL).  According to the International Journal of Humanities and Peace (2005), coconut oil converts LDL cholesterol into anti-aging properties to increase vitality.
